The payment process for hospice care.

As a non-profit organization, our company has an unwavering commitment to the health and well-being of our community — and it shows in our policy that no patient or family will be denied hospice care due to an inability to pay.

We accept Medicare, Medicaid and private insurance — and we have a sliding fee scale for those admitted with no insurance or government assistance. Though most hospice insurance benefits only cover services for the last six months of life, if individuals meet the admission criteria they will receive care regardless of their ability to pay.

Treatment prior to the last six months may not be covered under insurance. We will work with patients and families to develop a payment plan, if needed, based on the patient's ability to pay.

We will also work with you to complete the proper paperwork, and explain specific insurance coverage for services, in addition to the core services provided.

For additional information on our payment process or other aspects of our hospice care, please call 1-800-355-8170 in Hillsborough County or 1-800-544-3280 in Polk, Highlands or Hardee County.
